Download or read book Recent Progress in Few Body Physics written by N. A. Orr and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2020-01-06 with total page 968 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Few-body physics covers a rich and wide variety of phenomena, ranging from the very lowest energy scales of atomic and molecular physics to high-energy particle physics. The papers contained in the present volume provide an apercu of recent progress in the field from both the theoretical and experimental perspectives and are based on work presented at the “22nd International Conference on Few-Body Problems in Physics”. This book is geared towards academics and graduate students involved in the study of systems which present few-body characteristics and those interested in the related mathematical and computational techniques.

This book was released on 2008-05-20 with total page 348 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This symposium focused on three-nucleon force problems in nuclei. This is because the year 2007 corresponds to the 50 year anniversary of the three-nucleon force model based on the two-pion-exchange mechanism proposed by Fujita Miyazawa. Achievements of three-nucleon force studies, both in theory and in experiment, during this half century are presented and future perspectives for three-nucleon force studies pointing towards a new era are explored.

Download or read book Analyzing Powers for the Three nucleon Breakup Reaction 1H d Vector P pn at 16 MeV written by and published by . This book was released on 1980 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Analyzing powers for the 1H(d, p)pn reaction were measured at 16.0 MeV and beam polarization of approximately 0.82. Similar data for the elastic scattering 1H(d, p)2H were also taken. The breakup analyzing power A/sub xz/, which attains the largest magnitude, is shown as a function of excitation energy. Angular distributions of elastic and breakup analyzing powers are compared; large differences are noted for A/sub xx/ and A/sub xz/. It is found that 1-MeV energy bins are too large to use in the study of singlet-state effects. 2 figures. (RWR).

Download or read book Investigation of the Intermediate energy Deuteron Breakup Reaction written by and published by . This book was released on 1989 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Udagawa-Tamura formalism is employed to calculate the proton singles both in the bound and unbound regions. Both the Elastic-Breakup (EB) and the Breakup-Fusion (BF) processes are considered to calculate the doubly-differential cross section for light and intermediate mass nuclei. The calculated spectra for 25 and 56 MeV deuterons reproduce the experimental spectra very well except for the spectra at large angle and at low energies, of the outgoing particle. Contributions due to precompound and evaporation processes are estimated to supplement the spectral results based on the Elastic-Breakup and Breakup-Fusion mechanisms. An extension of the model calculations to higher deuteron energies is being made to test the (EB + BF) model limitations. 5 refs., 1 fig.
