Book A Combined Fem Mom Gtd Technique to Analyze Elliptically Polarized Cavity Backed Antennas with Finite Ground Plane

Download or read book A Combined Fem Mom Gtd Technique to Analyze Elliptically Polarized Cavity Backed Antennas with Finite Ground Plane written by National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and published by Createspace Independent Publishing Platform. This book was released on 2018-06-28 with total page 24 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Radiation pattern prediction analysis of elliptically polarized cavity-backed aperture antennas in a finite ground plane is performed using a combined Finite Element Method/Method of Moments/Geometrical Theory of Diffraction (FEM/MoM/GTD) technique. The magnetic current on the cavity-backed aperture in an infinite ground plane is calculated using the combined FEM/MoM analysis. GTD, including the slope diffraction contribution, is used to calculate the diffracted fields caused by both soft and hard polarizations at the edges of the finite ground plane. Explicit expressions for regular diffraction coefficients and slope diffraction coefficients are presented. The slope of the incident magnetic field at the diffraction points is derived and analytical expressions are presented. Numerical results for the radiation patterns of a cavity-backed circular spiral microstrip patch antenna excited by a coaxial probe in a finite rectangular ground plane are computed and compared with experimental results. Book Dielectric Resonator Antennas

Download or read book Dielectric Resonator Antennas written by Kwai Man Luk and published by Research Studies Press Limited. This book was released on 2003 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The use of dielectric resonator as a resonant antenna was proposed in 1983. Due to the absence of metallic loss, the dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) is highly efficient when operated at millimetre wave frequencies. With the use of high dielectric constant material, the DRA can also be used as a small and low profile antenna operated at low microwave frequencies. Low cost dielectric materials are now easily available commercially, encouraging more antenna engineers to design communication systems with DRAs.

Book Foundations of Antenna Engineering A Unified Approach for Line of Sight and Multipath

Download or read book Foundations of Antenna Engineering A Unified Approach for Line of Sight and Multipath written by Per-Simon Kildal and published by Artech House. This book was released on 2015-06-01 with total page 478 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is the first textbook that contains a holistic treatment of antennas both for traditional antennas mounted on masts (Line-of-Sight antenna systems) and for small antennas used on modern wireless devices such as smart phones being subject to signal variations (fading) due to multipath propagation. The focus is on characterization, as well as describing classical antennas by modern complex vector theory - thereby linking together many disciplines such as electromagnetic theory, classical antenna theory, wave propagation, and antenna system performance. Overall, this book represents a rethinking of the way basic antenna theory is presented. The book contains many references to important old and new papers and books on the analysis and design of the most useful antenna types, for the most interested readers.

Book Electromagnetic Shielding

Download or read book Electromagnetic Shielding written by Salvatore Celozzi and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2008-05-16 with total page 385 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The definitive reference on electromagnetic shielding materials, configurations, approaches, and analyses This reference provides a comprehensive survey of options for the reduction of the electromagnetic field levels in prescribed areas.
