Any such order shall be strictly observed by the Depot Sergeant Major. XIV.--Should any Depot Officer or Constable remark any prisoner to he sick or unfit for work whilst at out-door labor, he shall report the case to the Senior Depot Officer or Constable present, who shall, if he considers it necessary, order such prisoner to desist from work, and he shall report the case to the Depot Sergeant Major immediately upon his return to the Depot. Should it appear a serious case, the prisoner should be immediately forwarded to the Depot, and, if necessary, carried there. XV.--Any prisoner taken seriously ill, or meeting with any serious accident, shall be forwarded by the Depot Sergeant Major immediately to the Civil Hospital; in cases of urgency, the nearest Medical aid may be obtained. XVI.--Any prisoner malingering or feigning sickness, infirmity, or incapacity for labor, shall, upon the certificate of the Medical Officer to that effect be punished as hereinafter mentioned. XVII.--Should any prisoner be attacked, or be suspected by the Depot Sergeant Major of being attacked with any contagious or infectious disease, he shall immediately be placed apart from the remainder of the prisoners, until he shall have been examined by the Medical Officer. In cases of infectious or contagious disease occurring, every article used by and the part of the building occupied by, the patients, shall be immediately thoroughly disinfected and cleansed. XVI1L--The Medical Officer attached to the Depot shall visit it before 9 o'clock A. M. daily. XIX.--All prisoners at the Depot shall be employed at labor during the day, either within or without the Depot, at any work that may be required of them, and authorised by the Governor....
