Book Harvest Time

    Book Details:
  • Author : Frank Gaston
  • Publisher :
  • Release : 2009-10
  • ISBN : 9780615331973
  • Pages : 156 pages

Download or read book Harvest Time written by Frank Gaston and published by . This book was released on 2009-10 with total page 156 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Book of Genesis invites us to take a peek into the very astounding process of creation. God planted the seed of existence in order to reap a harvest that He named water, sky, earth, and more. Unhesitatingly, God used three little words: "Let there be . . ." and, just like that, it was! No magician or witch has the ability to produce such results, only God. In Genesis 1:26, God said "Let Us make human beings in our image and likeness, and let them rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the tame animals, over all the earth, and over all the small crawling animals." Possessions are essentially for use on the Earth; there is no genuine comfort within them. The Holy Spirit was sent to comfort God's people, in every area of their lives, especially during this historic recession. However, life does not exist in the abundance of things you possess, but the Jesus that is in you. Real life with regard to seedtime and harvest can manifest itself with the influence of Christ on a believer's spirit, soul, and body. Every person has been given a special gift or talent by God with the potential to bring him wealth. We've all got to remember that God will take care of us in the midst of what is going on in the world today. We may be in a recession, but participating in it is our decision. God always has an abundant supply of whatever you need. Pray to Him, talk to Him, and spend time with Him. Then sit back, relax, and expect Him to do what He has promised in His Word. Normally, "church folks" look at seedtime as always being about money or finance. But, just like God did, we have the ability to plant seeds of wisdom, good deeds, love and kindness toward one another. All these seeds will be returned back to us in a harvest of new members in the Body of Christ. Genesis 1:27-28 explains God's creation of man and woman, and His exhortation that they be fruitful and fill the earth. Bishop Gaston clarifies the sowing and reaping process, applying its tenets to our lives today and bringing it home to our personal struggles in these hard times. He provides us with organized thinking about the many levels of meaning in the terms seedtime and harvest, leading us step by step from problem to solution. Its readability will lead you to enjoy Harvest Time: Reaping a Bountiful Life, but your "take away" will be its individualized outlines for each aspect of sowing and reaping. Follow the steps enumerated by Bishop Gaston, and reap your bountiful life in God! Brenda Husband, Evangelist City of Refuge, Church of God in Christ Oakland, California

Book The Irresistible Introvert

Download or read book The Irresistible Introvert written by Michaela Chung and published by Simon and Schuster. This book was released on 2016-07-05 with total page 208 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Learn the tools to shed your mask of extroversion, develop your own magnetism, and reveal the true you. One third to one half of Americans are introverts in a culture that celebrates—even enforces—an ideal of extroversion and a cult of personality. Political leaders are charismatic, celebrities bask in the spotlight, and authority figures are assertive. It is no surprise that a “quiet revolution” has begun to emerge among the “invisible” half of the population, asserting that they are just as powerful in their own unique ways. The Irresistible Introvert embodies the spirit of this revival and breaks down the myth that charisma is reserved for extroverts only. This mini manifesto shows introverts how to master the art of quiet magnetism in a noisy world—no gregariousness required! Within these pages, you’ll discover how to shed the mask of extroversion and reveal a more compelling (and authentic) you. You’ll also learn how to: Master the inner game of intrigue Manage your energy for optimal engagement Create an emotional ecosystem for charisma Establish introverted intimacy Cultivate communication skills for quiet types As a “professional” charismatic introvert, author Michaela Chung demonstrates that you no longer have to forcefully push yourself outward into the world against your nature, but can rather magnetize people inward toward the true you. In the process, you’ll learn to embrace your “innie life” and discover potential you never knew you had.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "I write what I eat and smell,"says Diana Garc’a, and her words are a bountiful harvest. Her poems color the page with the vibrancy and sweetness of figs, the freshness of tortillas, and the sensuality of language. In this, Garc’a's first collection of poems, she takes a bittersweet look back at the migrant labor camps of California and offers a tribute to the people who toiled there. Writing from the heart of California's San Joaquin Valley, she catapults the reader into the lives of the campesinos with their daily joys and sorrows. Bold, political, and familial, Garc’a's poems gift the reader with a sense of earth, struggle, and prideÑeach line filled with the sounds of agrarian music, from mariachi melodies to repatriation revolts. Embodied with such spirit, her poems rise with the convictions of power and equality
