Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In Manav’s world, memories are like little birds perched upon the windowsill of time. In his world there are no boundaries between thoughts and reality. In his world the past and the present form a mirror that disintegrates into the memory of a single day... Known for writing silences and articulating dreams, in this book Manav sifts through the past, delves into the present and talks about all the creative impulses, writing, directing theatre and acting that have made him who he is. Through his poetry and prose, he creates vignettes of his life, a long-lost love, his interactions with people as he travels, his favourite authors and their writings, almost as if he’s trying to weave a world for the reader as well. Beautifully symbolic, this book is a rich tapestry of thoughts and feelings, of todays and tomorrows, of being alone and seeking loneliness.

Book The Lost Seeker

Download or read book The Lost Seeker written by Richard D. Kydd Jr. and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2005-09 with total page 133 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In The Lost Seeker, poet Richard Kydd focuses on the human spiritual journey, and the pain and conflict of man's dual spiritual and material makeup. A consistent theme is his observation that we are trapped in an illusion while in this life. In The Portal he calls reality 'A dream, a portal to a window. A view of semi-detached visions, alone to itself, floating in nothingness." He refers often to ' . this dream we call life," as in Locked in a Dream, and in The Window, which we see through dimly. The sadness of the passing of time, and the loss of loved ones, is mentioned often. In Of Yesterday he describes, 'Magic Moments lost in time, gone without a trace." In Dreams he calls a fond memory 'A photo in an album, a picture in a frame, a moment trapped in time, to never come again." Yet Kydd's message is primarily one of hope. He sees the human spirit as always in longing, always seeking the infinite-but ultimately arriving home, to find peace. In The Flaming Spirit a soul is 'Lost to itself beyond the great reaches of eternity. Forever flying higher." And in Born Eternal Kydd says, 'For we are spirit, born unencumbered." Kydd sees love as the end to the human soul's suffering, and this volume contains some touching love poems, in particular The Passing, a memorial to his Spiritual Grandmother.

We came together in agreement to write a book together instead of going our own separate ways. I was searching for a title for the book. God gave me the ideal name, Three Generations of Grace. We are the three generations, that's for sure! Myself, my son, and my mother who is my son's grandmother. I am very happy we can keep it in the family. Book The Spirit Whisperer

Download or read book The Spirit Whisperer written by John Holland and published by Hay House, Inc. This book was released on 2010-02-15 with total page 264 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: There’s a special language that transcends time and space —a language that’s not constrained by the limitations of just words —but one that consists of signs, symbols, energy, and thought. A language that can only be heard when one truly listens. It’s the language of The Spirit Whisperer. In John Holland’s past books, he explained how he came to terms with, and learned to accept and embrace, his spiritual gifts as a psychic medium; and how "readers" could develop their own intuitive psychic abilities. In this book, John picks up the fascinating story of his personal journey of growth and development as one of the most respected practicing mediums today. This work chronicles his career to date and includes some enlightening and heartfelt real-life case studies. He candidly discusses readings with clients, including those who’ve had their own After Death Communications (ADCs) —from the outrageous to the profound. John also explains the signs and symbols that our loved ones continually try to send us. One of his most popular sayings is: "Those on the Other Side want to talk to you —as much as you want to talk to them!" John divulges for the first time some of the extraordinary paranormal occurrences he’s witnessed throughout his career, and provides a rare glimpse behind the scenes of what it’s like to be a "Psychic Time Machine" for several television shows. He’ll also help parents who have a psychic child themselves. The Spirit Whisperer is a book you’ll want to read over and over, as many of the stories will touch your heart as well as your soul!

Delightful are pages in which she tells in quick sentences how she learned to rearrange the house, reorganize her desk, and play the piano with only her left hand. -Pres. Gene Roop Flora uses her wounds not as an easily justifiable spring of bitterness, but as a sweet, healing balm for others. Book The Lessons of Petunia Rabbit

    Book Details:
  • Author : Della Long Halper
  • Publisher : Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.
  • Release : 2019-04-25
  • ISBN : 164416521X
  • Pages : 455 pages

Download or read book The Lessons of Petunia Rabbit written by Della Long Halper and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2019-04-25 with total page 455 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Petunia is a story about guilt, loss, and redemption. I wrote Petunia because it had been my professional experience that guilt and the difficulty in managing that emotion is perhaps the most ubiquitous bane of both children and young adults. In a sizable percentage of cases, the guilt acquired in childhood is still undiminished by those who have reached full adult and even older adult ages. Although guilt is experienced by most people at some time in their existence, there are simply too few guidelines when it comes to working through the discomfort that most feel when guilt becomes a part of their everyday thinking and feeling. One of the more prevalent challenges encountered in the education and care of today's child is the responsibility parents and teachers undertake as they struggle to impart sensible and lasting guidelines in behavior choices. The story of Petunia Rabbit provides an enjoyable matrix through which the caretaker has a basis for this undertaking. Petunia's story demonstrates that even in the most dire of circumstances, faith, structure, and tradition continue to be of lasting importance in the life of the developing child and ultimately becomes the sanctuary for the self-hatred felt by a surprising number of youngsters and young adults in all levels of our society. Many of today's children are overly protected in some venues but exposed to unacceptable (age inappropriate, pointlessly violent) material as seen in video games, on their computers, on television, and in films. The core event in Petunia's story is a huge flood that devastates her family's life and those of most of the characters included in the story. Using a natural disaster as the impetus for events was a purposeful choice in that most individuals are able to identify with those events that result in the probability of altered lives and fortunes. And while devastating, natural disasters are not the result of purposeful or directed cruelty. The story of Petunia provides an excellent basis of learning from models within the family and in society. Petunia's story demonstrates the following: 1. The necessity of a personal belief system to augment and strengthen individual coping abilities and societal structures, which are often lost during chaotic events. 2. The importance of fostering reliability, competence, caretaking, and self-respect 3. The value of developing an awareness of the feelings and struggles of others. 4. The risk and uncertainty associated with impulsive behaviors. 5. The ultimate worth of meaningful work, interpersonal ties, and education. 6. The value of paying attention. 7. The challenge of responsibility. 8. The value of and need for suitable mentors. 9. The importance of using resources wisely, including emotional resources. 10. The necessity of building a reputation for honor and integrity.

Book Last 24 Hours The Final Inch

Download or read book Last 24 Hours The Final Inch written by Marcus and Laura Sanders and published by Elm Hill. This book was released on 2020-03-24 with total page 308 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Looking Forward . . . Take a Look at the Last 24 Hours . . . We know how valuable it could be to have a manual on the essentials of life on topics such as ‘Parenting: How to Bring Up Perfect People’ or ‘The Formula for Never Having to Say Goodbye’ or ‘Arriving at the Secret to a Never-fail Marriage’. The reality is there are no quick-fix booklets or a step-by-step instruction encyclopedia of sorts in existence, only helpful suggestions. Fully aware, my Husband and I co-authored this book to be messengers of God’s heart for such a stressful time everyone alive is facing. To the human race who has walked this journey of ups and downs, difficult struggles, heart breaking trials and perhaps even tasted some victories along the way, a journey called life…our hearts are purposed to extend anyhow, points we can join in to somehow encourage and to cheer You on across the Final Inch. When a runner nears the finishing line, all the stops are pulled out. All they can see is the ribbon and all they can think about is crossing that ribbon to victory. Think of this book as the “all-stops-pulled-out” and the focus is to take the final inch across the ribbon. “You can do it because God is with you all the way across the final inch!” The Last 24 Hours . . . It’s Inescapable . . . Captivating . . . Motivational.
