Book 8 by 3 Paradigm for Time Management

Download or read book 8 by 3 Paradigm for Time Management written by Deji Badiru and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2013-05-03 with total page 100 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The overarching theme of 8by3 paradigm of time management is to view time as the basis for everything we do. An efficient use of time is the foundation for success in all endeavors. Balancing time implies using explicit and equitable allotments of time to the various undertakings of each day. The development of the paradigm introduced in this book is based on the authors own personal practice of the approach for over three decades that have resulted in his ability to manage multiple endeavors. The approach has been honed enough to the point that it can be shared with others who may want to adopt and adapt it for their own activities. The paradigm presents a simple guide to managing the hours of the day over three major blocks of time allocated to the three typical categories of human undertakings. The three blocks of time cover work activities, home activities, and leisure activities. Each block has sub-blocks that are managed in contiguous hierarchical timeline templates. The 8by3 paradigm can be customized for each persons specific needs and circumstances. This book does not ask readers to sacrifice one time block for another or vice versa. Rather, it encourages balancing time across the work time, the home time, and leisure time.

Book The Twenty Fifth Hour

Download or read book The Twenty Fifth Hour written by Deji Badiru and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2020-02-13 with total page 85 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book presents an exciting introduction to the concept of creating a virtual 25th hour in the day as a technique for effective time management. Each human being, from the time of birth, will always be confronted with more and more things to do. Yet, the available time is not going to expand. Technically, this means there is always more to do than there is time to do them all. So, we desire more time. Unfortunately, each day is pegged, physically, at only 24 hours. Thus, the virtual 25th hour is needed. Going further more aggressively, a determined reader can even squeeze out a virtual 26th hour (or more) in the day.

Book Youth Soccer Training Slides

Download or read book Youth Soccer Training Slides written by Deji Badiru and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2014-05-30 with total page 123 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Soccer is the beautiful game, as widely recognized around the world. January 2014 statistics show that over 50 million youth play soccer worldwide. Early training of soccer means a lifetime of love of the sport. The enjoyment of soccer transcends mere involvement as a player, coach, fan, sponsor, dad, or mom. There are subtle lessons of life to be learned from soccer as a team sport. One aspect that is often ignored is the potential to use soccer to teach basic math and science principles, which are essential for later career paths in the technical fields. It is this void that prompted me to write this book as a way to leverage soccer training to spark the interest of kids and adults in the applications of math and science. Youth Soccer Training Slides: A Math and Science Approach is a sequel following my first soccer book of 2010 entitled Physics of Soccer: Using Math and Science to Improve Your Game. That first book was published to coincide with the 2010 FIFA World Cup Tournament Soccer in South Africa. This second book is written to coincide with the 2014 FIFA World Cup Soccer Tournament in Brazil. Although this book targets youth soccer training, it is quite suitable and recommended for adult soccer training as well. The technical principles are general enough to apply to all levels of soccer training. The presentation slides format of the book makes it amenable for pick-and-choose applications of specific training topics. In his 2014 book, the Great Pele of Brazil emphasizes Why Soccer Matters. In the opinion of this author, soccer, indeed, matters not only because of its socio-economic impacts around the world, but also because of the various other benefits it offers. Soccer matters because it is a thinking game and the ultimate team sport. The theme and premise offered by Youth Soccer Training Slides cover various math and science topics to enhance the understanding and enjoyment of the game.

Book Margin of Death

  • Publisher : iUniverse
  • Release : 2024-06-04
  • ISBN : 1663262934
  • Pages : 76 pages

Download or read book Margin of Death written by Deji Badiru and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2024-06-04 with total page 76 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Margin of Death is a cautionary note on death being a slim margin away in the activities we engage in. The book presents safety and life-preservation tips to avoid, minimize, or mitigate accidental disasters that could rob people of their precious lives. Although the topic is serious and unnerving, this book is written in a humorous tone, perhaps to put readers at ease. Life is always at risk from a variety of sources, ranging from accidental, negligent, and deliberate acts. While natural age-driven death is accepted, we should minimize exposure to other non-scheduled, life-robbing incidents, a majority of which are manmade. A near miss is the one we know about, but the narrow margins are the ones we never know.

Book Multinational Companies from Japan

Download or read book Multinational Companies from Japan written by Robert Fitzgerald and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2017-10-02 with total page 193 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Since the bursting of Japan’s bubble economy, from 1990 onwards, its multinational companies (MNCs) have faced new competitive challenges, and questions about the management practices on which they had built their initial success in global markets. Japanese engagement in the international economy has undergone a number of phases. Historically, Japanese MNCs learnt from foreign companies, frequently through strategic alliances. After the post-war ‘economic miracle’, Japanese manufacturers in particular converted themselves into MNCs, transferred their home-grown capabilities to overseas subsidiaries, and made an impact on the world economy. But the period after 1990 marked declining Japanese competitiveness, and asked questions about the ability of Japanese MNCs to be more responsive and global in their strategies, organization, and capabilities. It has been argued that the established management practices of Japanese MNCs inhibited adaptation to recent demands of global competition. This volume presents new case evidence on how Japanese MNCs have responded to the new challenges of the global market place, and it provides examples of how they have transformed strategies and competitive capabilities. This book was originally published as a special issue of Asia Pacific Business Review.
