Book 50 Poems about Love Hope and Transcendence

Download or read book 50 Poems about Love Hope and Transcendence written by A. A. and published by Best Products Ever. This book was released on 2021-05-07 with total page 110 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: INTRODUCTIONThe following collection of poems adds value to the vast wealth of the metaphysical knowledge of the Soul. According to the Higher Realms of Teachings (HRT), her primal impulse is to quench the need of rediscovering her primordial nature.Purposively, the language used in the present book is easily absorbable, direct, and free of poetic trickeries. As opposed to being vague, it is clear, and so lacks coy significance only the author knows of. Every word means what it is supposed to mean, so the reader never has to question any possible obscure and/or esoteric scopes behind them. Nevertheless, they attempt to climb the summits of the prophetic invocation, that mature researchers in the fields of Esoterophy (union of Esoteric tea-ching and Philosophy) look for.If the reader surrenders to its inspirational language, he will be able to see a world made of perfect union, that although aware of its faults and redemptions, is also impregnated with eternal harmony. Then the reader can discover that those other worlds, lived in before, previously considered vast and known, sud-denly will become utterly minuscule and incomplete. The reader will look like the butterfly that looks at the cocoon that hosted her growth, before helping her leap to her flight. The truth is, that wherever we look like around us, after gaining true eyes, life shows us how permeated with love and sempi-ternity it is. An experience made of etherical union between knowledge and mystic, a revelation that discovers beauty and redemption, which is delivered on a mantle of dignity and clairvoyant anticipation. No pain, emotion nor joy are left out from the complex universe of its composed life. A quintessential act that explores the inner meaning of our existence, and in no way spares the sacredness of the transmigration of the Soul. In here, symbols and metamorphosis are not veiled, but bravely exposed so that they can readily disclose their secrets. We are all spirits in search of our Divine nature, equipped with eyes that dream and see beyond the present that predict a perfect future. Their destinies are written by those that deploy tender and passionate hearts, which own distended and potent hands, psychic and winged, that supervise the chaotic abyss of our daily and mortal life, and yet are able to extract new shapes and more supreme impressions. Overall, a messianic journey of emancipation of the spirit

Book Self Transcendence and Virtue

Download or read book Self Transcendence and Virtue written by Jennifer A. Frey and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2018-11-06 with total page 300 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Recent research in the humanities and social sciences suggests that individuals who understand themselves as belonging to something greater than the self—a family, community, or religious or spiritual group—often feel happier, have a deeper sense of purpose or meaning in their lives, and have overall better life outcomes than those who do not. Some positive and personality psychologists have labeled this location of the self within a broader perspective "self-transcendence." This book presents and integrates new, interdisciplinary research into virtue, happiness, and the meaning of life by re-orienting these discussions around the concept of self-transcendence. The essays are organized around three broad themes connected to self-transcendence. First, they investigate how self-transcendence helps us to understand aspects of the moral life as it is studied within psychology, including the development of wisdom, the practice of moral praise, and psychological well-being. Second, they explore how self-transcendence is linked to virtue in different religious and spiritual traditions including Judaism, Islam, Christianity, Buddhism, and Confucianism. Finally, they ask how self-transcendence can help us theorize about Aristotelean and Thomist conceptions of virtue, like hope and piety, and how this helps us to re-conceptualize happiness and meaning in life.

Book The Etymological Poetry of W H Auden J H Prynne and Paul Muldoon

Download or read book The Etymological Poetry of W H Auden J H Prynne and Paul Muldoon written by Mia Gaudern and published by Oxford University Press. This book was released on 2020-07-10 with total page 288 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book defines, analyses, and theorises a late modern 'etymological poetry' that is alive to the past lives of its words, and probes the possible significance of them both explicitly and implicitly. Close readings of poetry and criticism by Auden, Prynne, and Muldoon investigate the implications of their etymological perspectives for the way their language establishes relationships between people, and between people and the world. These twin functions of communication and representation are shown to be central to the critical reception of etymological poetry, which is a category of 'difficult' poetry. However resonant poetic etymologising may be, critics warn that it shows the poet's natural interest in language degenerating into an unhealthy obsession with the dictionary. It is unavoidably pedantic, in the post-Saussurean era, to entertain the idea that a word's history might have any relevance to its current use. As such, etymological poetry elicits the closest of close readings, thus encouraging readers to reflect not only on its own pedantry, obscurity, and virtuosity, but also on how these qualities function in criticism. As well as presenting a new way of reading three very different late modern poet-critics, this book addresses an understudied aspect of the relationship between poetry and criticism. Its findings are situated in the context of literary debates about difficulty and diction, and in larger cultural conversations about the workings of language as a historical event.

Download or read book Liturgical Liaisons written by Jamey Heit and published by Wipf and Stock Publishers. This book was released on 2013-01-10 with total page 241 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: When Jesus offers his body as a promise to his disciples, he initiates a liturgical framework that is driven by irony and betrayal. Through these deconstructive elements, however, the promise invites the disciples into an intimate space where they anticipate the fulfillment of what is to come. This anticipatory energy provides the common thread between Donne and Dickinson, who draw specifically on the unstable story that unfolds during the Last Supper in order to develop a liturgical poetics. By tracing the implications of the body as a textual presence, Liturgical Liaisons opens into new readings of Donne and Dickinson in a way that enriches how these figures are understood as poets. The result is a risky and rewarding understanding of how these two figures challenged accepted theological norms of their day.

It will be the first in the series of her spiritual poetry or "vision quest poetry" to be published. The poetry awakens one to the Truth within as we walk the path, the journey, and wake from the slumber of separation from parts of self and divinity. The resulting self-forgiveness allows one to step forward into wholeness without the false archetype of perfection. When blame and self-judgment are transformed, healed, and cease to be, we have reawakened from the myth, "the mythos," of separation. We are One.

Book The Complete Perfectionist

Download or read book The Complete Perfectionist written by Juan Ramón Jiménez and published by . This book was released on 2011 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Few have written more memorably about the work of poetry and the poetics of work than Juan Ramón Jiménez, winner of a Nobel Prize and discerning teacher of an entire generation of Spanish poets. In this series of aphorisms, Jiménez brings together the elements of perfect work, both in writing and in other realms. Among these elements--the wellsprings of any kind of creation--are instinct and inspiration, memory and forgetting, silence and noise, love and regret. A treasure for poets and writers, The Complete Perfectionist includes helpful commentary by noted translator Christopher Maurer and shows perfection as a process of "becoming" rather than an end product. In these insightful pages, a poet haunted by perfection reveals his methods of writing and revision, and measures the social and ethical dimensions of el trabajo gustoso, or pleasurable work. This revised and expanded edition includes many aphorisms recently published in Spanish and not previously included.
