Download or read book 5 Habits for an Abundant Christian Life written by Glenn Siddle and published by . This book was released on 2019-02-23 with total page 202 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Jesus said that He came to give us life, and life more abundantly. What does this mean, and how do we achieve it? We can use the talents that God has given us to make a difference in the lives of those around us. This book will not expose any secrets that are only available to a few people but will unlock some truths found in the Bible that anybody can use to live their life to the fullest. These truths can enrich your life so you can enrich others. The title of this book could've easily been 'Success is No Accident.' But a book with that title might convey the wrong message. You would first need to under-stand that the ultimate level of success on earth is x 5 Habits for an Abundant Christian Life to live an abundant life. The kind of abundance that Jesus came and died to give us. A life so attractive that others are drawn to it, positively impacting them in ways they don't necessarily understand. To be that person and live that life you must first be willing to"seek with all your heart" (Jeremiah 29:13). In our society, we look for quick fixes, with guaranteed results, and long-term success. Realistically we know this combination is impossible. We search for the keys to this formula and often hold others accountable when we don't achieve our desired results. You could spend decades reading books and attending seminars in an attempt to find your habits or formulas. But Glenn has done it for you. This book is a 'greatest hits' of leadership and life principles with the Bible as its framework. And Glenn is a living example of the fruits of these habits. So, while this book may not solve all the world's problems, you'll be surprised at how quickly God will reward your obedience with sustainable results when you follow Glenn's road map. I am honored to write the foreword for this book. But in reality, it's a daunting task to try and put into words the influence Glenn Siddle has on my life and lives all around me. If you know him, you understand my challenge. I look up to Glenn as a man of God who doesn't just talk the talk but also walks the walk.

Book The Bible Bible Study the 5 Habits of Highly Effective Christians

Download or read book The Bible Bible Study the 5 Habits of Highly Effective Christians written by Nicole Johnson and published by . This book was released on 2015-10-07 with total page 38 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Discover How You Can Develop a Stronger Relationship with God Through The Power of 5 Habits & The BibleIt's sad to think that there are Christians who easily take the Gospel for granted. As we continue to live complicated lives, we are often burdened by trivial things that we lose sight of God and His plans for our lives. We've become too focused on our own desires that we've forgotten about the creator who made us. It may seem like God is so far away and doesn't want to develop a relationship with us, but the reality is, we're the ones moving far away from Him. Instead of praying, reading the bible, worshipping, fellowshipping, and hearing His word preached, we choose to live our lives based on how we want to live them. No wonder there are times when it seems like we can't feel God's presence in our lives. We forget about the message of the Gospel and instead run after things that will never satisfy. We may be living comfortable and easy lives because of technology, but that doesn't make us any better than the Israelites during Moses time. Here we are, saved, and yet we still choose to ignore God's magnificent power in our lives. If you've always wanted to develop your resolve to becoming a better Christian, this book will teach you everything you need to know about the 5 Habits every believer needs to cultivate. From what it really means to be saved to how we can best prepare our hearts and minds to listen to Sunday preaching, this book is packed with all the information you ever wanted to know about living an abundant and joyful Christian life. Here is a Preview of What You Will Learn: What it Means to be Saved Pray: How to Talk to God... Read and Study Scripture: Why we Need to Study the Bible... Worship: The Elements of Spirit filled and True Worship... Fellowship with other Believers: The Facets of Christian Fellowship... Listen to God's Word through Preaching: How to Prepare our Hearts and Minds to be Receptive to God's Message and so much more! Once we become part of God's family, we take on the responsibility of obeying Him and demonstrating our faith. We learn to put our trust and dependence on Him and Him alone. We hold on to His promise that He will bless us with joy and abundance if we draw closer to Him. By developing these 5 habits, it will be much easier to align our personal will with God's will. God doesn't desire for us to be far away from Him. In his Infinite grace and power, He wants to bless us with more than we ever thought would be possible. God has a plan for us all and it's only by drawing near to Him will that plan unfold. God has already made the first move to bridge the gap between us by offering His one and only son to pay for our sins. Who are we to refuse such an amazing gift? God is pleased by humility so if we learn to humble ourselves and develop these habits as an act of obedience towards Him, we will be favourable in His sight. Learn how you can fully enjoy His gift of salvation with this book. By following what Holy Scripture says and living your life accordingly, you can be a living testimony of how God can use anyone to bring glory to His name. ****Learn The 5 Habits - Get Your Copy NOW****

Book excerpt: Rewire Your Brain with Truth from Scripture Have you ever felt stuck in your Christian life? Have you wondered if the abundant life Jesus promised is really available for you right here and right now? If you answered yes to either of these questions, then this book is for you. This book will help you identify the spiritual growth barriers that are keeping you stuck as well as show you the way to experience more of the abundant life: a life characterized by more love, joy, peace, and hope than you ever dreamed possible before. Ken Baugh draws us into the inner workings of the brain and the heart, which inform how we process negative and traumatic experiences, but which also can be diverted from health and wholeness by such negative experiences. How we process hard things intellectually and spiritually recalibrates us toward either health and wholeness or bitterness and defeatism. Ken helps us rewire our brains by simmering in the Scriptures that remind us whom we belong to and what God has promised us. The end result is a resilient, robust faith prepared to weather every storm and keep in step with Jesus.

Raniero Cantalamessa, the preacher to the papal household, invites readers to turn to the Trinity so that they can enter into and experience the relationship of love that the divine Persons share with one another. Convinced that Christians today need a spirituality that is more clearly trinitarian, Fr. Cantalamessa draws from theology, spirituality, and art to articulate this new perspective and its implications. As readers accept Christ’s invitation to immerse themselves in the “bottomless sea without shores” that is the Trinity, they will find themselves on a journey that promises a deeper understanding of how this relationship of love can be our standard for holiness.

Download or read book Unseen written by Sara Hagerty and published by Zondervan. This book was released on 2017-08-29 with total page 240 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: How do we find contentment in God when we feel so hidden? Sara Hagerty unfolds the truths found in the biblical story of Mary of Bethany to discover the scandalous love of God and explore the spiritual richness of being hidden in him. Every heart longs to be seen and understood. Yet most of our lives is unwitnessed. We spend our days working, driving, parenting. We sometimes spend whole seasons feeling unnoticed and unappreciated. In Unseen, Sara Hagerty suggests that this is exactly what God intended. He is the only One who truly knows us. He is the only One who understands the value of the unseen in our lives. When this truth seeps into our souls, we realize that only when we hide ourselves in God can we give ourselves to others in true freedom--and know the joy of a deeper relationship with the God who sees us. Our culture applauds what we can produce, what we can show, what we can upload to social media. Only when we give all of ourselves to God--unedited, abandoned, apparently wasteful in its lack of productivity--can we live out who God created us to be. As Hagerty writes, "Maybe my seemingly unproductive, looking-up-at-Him life produces awe among the angels." Through an eloquent exploration of both personal and biblical story, Hagerty calls us to offer every unseen minute of our lives to God. God is in the secret places of our lives that no one else witnesses. But we've not been relegated to these places. We've been invited. We may be "wasting" ourselves in a hidden corner today: The cubicle on the fourth floor. The hospital bedside of an elderly parent. The laundry room. But these are the places God uses to meet us with a radical love. These are the places that produce the kind of unhinged love in us that gives everything at His feet, whether or not anyone else ever proclaims our name, whether or not anyone else ever sees. God's invitation is not just for a season or a day. It is the question of our lives: "When no one else applauds you, when it makes no sense, when you see no results--will you waste your love on Me?"

Book The God of Intimacy and Action

Download or read book The God of Intimacy and Action written by Mary Albert Darling and published by Fortress Press. This book was released on 2019-03-05 with total page 274 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Acclaimed evangelical speaker and writer Tony Campolo teams up with spiritual director and teacher Mary Albert Darling to reveal some gems from the liturgical Christian tradition to Protestants who may be ready for a refreshing change. While steeped in their own evangelical tradition, the authors are not afraid to venture back into Christian history and reclaim practices that have long been considered exclusively Catholic--including Centering Prayer, along with works by Ignatius Loyola and Catherine of Siena--as excellent spiritual tools to help evangelicals grow in faith and love for the poor. A vital theme in Campolo and Darling's work is that spirituality is not solely an individualistic practice but must lead Christians to love and help the oppressed. True Christian mysticism, they posit, is not an either/or proposition. That's because the nexus between evangelism and justice is to be found in Christian mysticism.
