Download or read book ART EDUCATION AND THREE DIMENSIONS written by Assoc. Prof. Firdevs SAĞLAM and published by Eğitim Yayınevi. This book was released on 2022-03-01 with total page 101 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Art has become an essential part of human life because of its aesthetic structure, its presence in communication, its ability to stimulate emotions and thoughts. The reason the art is included in education is to spread the art-related gains across society. The aim is to develop individuals who can adapt to the rapidly evolving and changing world, especially with art training that helps to develop the creative characteristics. The art education includes theoretical parts such as aesthetic, art history, cultural heritage, as well as activities involving two-dimensional or three-dimensional applications. This study, named Art Education and Three Dimensions, contains art, art education, the concept of three-dimension, and information and experiences about applications based on this concept. In this context, the place of three dimensions in art education was studied with reference to difference aspects. The reason for addressing the concept of three dimensions is that this concept is the basis of existence in human life and that most of the sensing process is completed around it. The inclusion of three dimensions within the scope of art education provides gains in different directions for the individual. These gains are considered physical, cognitive and sensory. In this study, the relevant field literature was reviewed and blended with the author’s knowledge and experience of the field. I owe a debt to my dear family who did not withhold their support during the creation of this book.
Download or read book 3D Storytelling written by Bruce Block and published by Taylor & Francis. This book was released on 2013-07-04 with total page 237 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: 3D Storytelling is the ultimate guide for directors, cinematographers, producers, and designers of stereoscopic 3D movies and videos. With an emphasis on the aesthetic over the technical, this book is an essential foundation for showing you how to use 3D creatively to tell a story. Hollywood producer Bruce Block and Dreamworks stereoscopic supervisor Philip Captain 3D McNally blend their vast real-world experience and teaching skills to help you learn how to: * Think in 3D * Integrate 3D design into your script or story * Direct and design the 3D depth of your shots * Use stereoscopic windows * Work with the depth cues in 3D * Create a comfortable viewing experience for the audience * Plan editing and directorial considerations for 3D * Understand closed, open, and unstable 3D space Brimming with practical information that can be immediately applied to your 3D production, the book also features interviews with some of the industry’s leading stereographers, as well as 3D diagrams and photographs that illustrate how 3D works, how it can be controlled in production, and how 3D can be used to tell a story.

Download or read book Three Dimensional Model Analysis and Processing written by Faxin Yu and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2011-02-03 with total page 434 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: With the increasing popularization of the Internet, together with the rapid development of 3D scanning technologies and modeling tools, 3D model databases have become more and more common in fields such as biology, chemistry, archaeology and geography. People can distribute their own 3D works over the Internet, search and download 3D model data, and also carry out electronic trade over the Internet. However, some serious issues are related to this as follows: (1) How to efficiently transmit and store huge 3D model data with limited bandwidth and storage capacity; (2) How to prevent 3D works from being pirated and tampered with; (3) How to search for the desired 3D models in huge multimedia databases. This book is devoted to partially solving the above issues. Compression is useful because it helps reduce the consumption of expensive resources, such as hard disk space and transmission bandwidth. On the downside, compressed data must be decompressed to be used, and this extra processing may be detrimental to some applications. 3D polygonal mesh (with geometry, color, normal vector and texture coordinate information), as a common surface representation, is now heavily used in various multimedia applications such as computer games, animations and simulation applications. To maintain a convincing level of realism, many applications require highly detailed mesh models. However, such complex models demand broad network bandwidth and much storage capacity to transmit and store. To address these problems, 3D mesh compression is essential for reducing the size of 3D model representation.

Download or read book International Perspectives on Disability Exceptions in Copyright Law and the Visual Arts written by Jani McCutcheon and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2020-09-27 with total page 285 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book provides an overview of disability exceptions to copyright infringement and the international and human rights legal framework for disability rights and exceptions. The focus is on those exceptions as they apply to visual art, while the book presents a comprehensive study of copyright’s disability exceptions per se and the international and human rights law framework in which they are situated. 3D printing now allows people with a visual impairment to experience 3D reproductions of paintings, drawings and photographs through touch. At the same time, the uncertain application of existing disability exceptions to these reproductions may generate concerns about legal risk, hampering sensory art projects and reducing inclusivity and equity in cultural engagement by people with a visual impairment. The work adopts an interdisciplinary approach, with contributions from diverse stakeholders, including persons with disabilities, cultural institutions and the 3D printing industry. The book sketches the scene relating to sensory art projects. Experts in intellectual property, human rights, disability and art law then critically analyse the current legal landscape relating to disability access to works of visual art at both international and regional levels, as well as across a broad representative sample of national jurisdictions, and identify where legal reform is required. This comparative analysis of the laws aims to better inform stakeholders of the applicable legal landscape, the legal risks and opportunities associated with sensory art and the opportunities for reform and best practice guidelines, with the overarching goal of facilitating international harmonisation of the law and enhanced inclusivity.
Download or read book The Militarization of Childhood written by J. Beier and published by Springer. This book was released on 2011-11-16 with total page 470 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In its various manifestations, the campaign to end child soldiering has brought graphic images of militarized children to popular consciousness. In the main, this has been a campaign that has seemed to speak to African contexts without as much reflection on the myriad ways in which the lives of children are militarized in advanced (post)industrial societies. Proceeding from this quite striking omission, the contributors to this volume move beyond the usual focus on the global South. Making what will be an important contribution to a much needed critical turn in the vast and still rapidly growing child soldier literature, they address multifarious ways in which childhood is militarized beyond the global South through enactments of militarism that have drawn much less in the way of critical inquiry.
