Book Pleiadian Earth Energy Astrology

Download or read book Pleiadian Earth Energy Astrology written by Pia Orleane and published by Simon and Schuster. This book was released on 2018-11-06 with total page 522 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Discover how to navigate the spiral energy patterns of the Universe for spiritual advancement and conscious evolution • 2019 Coalition of Visionary Resources Silver Award • Explains how the cycles of the 13 spirals of Universal energy and the 20 spirals of Earth energy interact on each calendar day as well as provides a Pleiadian perspective on how they influence us and the events in our lives • Offers practical examples of how you can consciously use the energies prevalent on a given day to your personal, spiritual benefit • Shares cosmic wisdom teachings from the Pleiadian group known as Laarkmaa Modern science has finally confirmed an essential component of the Pleiadian teachings: Our Universe is not linear; it moves in spirals. Human evolution also unfolds in spirals, rather than the linear progression we call “progress.” Sharing the cosmic wisdom teachings they have received from the Pleiadian group known as Laarkmaa, authors Pia Orleane and Cullen Baird Smith reveal a new system of Pleiadian-Earth energy astrology centered on the spiraling and interconnected movement of Universal and Earth energies, rather than on time, and explain how this new wave of Pleiadian wisdom can support human evolution. The authors identify two major spiral patterns that influence us: the 13 spirals of Universal energy that reflect cosmic laws and cosmic truth and the 20 spirals of Earth energy that reflect how humans experience themselves, each other, and their environment. They explain the dominant energy of each of the 13 Universal energy spirals and how they cycle in 13-day periods. They detail how these 13 Universal energy spirals interact with the cycles of the 20 Earth energy spirals on each calendar day, providing a hundred-year ephemeris and a Pleiadian perspective with which to understand the events in your life. Offering practical examples, they show how you can consciously use the energies prevalent on a given calendar day to your personal, spiritual advantage. Providing a map to transcend all systems that no longer serve us, freeing us to become the enlightened cosmic beings we truly are, the authors show how, with the wisdom of the Pleiadian-Earth energy system, we can each discover our specific gifts, work through the challenges of our own shadows, and individually and collectively evolve into a higher vibrational species.

Book Interest Rate Derivatives Explained Volume 2

Download or read book Interest Rate Derivatives Explained Volume 2 written by Jörg Kienitz and published by Springer. This book was released on 2017-11-08 with total page 261 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book on Interest Rate Derivatives has three parts. The first part is on financial products and extends the range of products considered in Interest Rate Derivatives Explained I. In particular we consider callable products such as Bermudan swaptions or exotic derivatives. The second part is on volatility modelling. The Heston and the SABR model are reviewed and analyzed in detail. Both models are widely applied in practice. Such models are necessary to account for the volatility skew/smile and form the fundament for pricing and risk management of complex interest rate structures such as Constant Maturity Swap options. Term structure models are introduced in the third part. We consider three main classes namely short rate models, instantaneous forward rate models and market models. For each class we review one representative which is heavily used in practice. We have chosen the Hull-White, the Cheyette and the Libor Market model. For all the models we consider the extensions by a stochastic basis and stochastic volatility component. Finally, we round up the exposition by giving an overview of the numerical methods that are relevant for successfully implementing the models considered in the book.

Book excerpt: The environmental impacts of construction are momentous. How can architects minimise these by making responsible material choices? Material choices have a global impact. The design and construction industry are responsible for 39% of all carbon emissions in the world. Despite the great desire among architects to address this, it can be difficult to compare materials directly, let alone understand the repercussions of selecting materials for use in different parts of a building or of sourcing them from across the world. Showcasing the latest thought leadership from subject experts across the industry, this primer sets out the various considerations and parameters for specifying a particular material. It empowers architects with the knowledge of which materials are available, how best to use them, and what their future holds as the industry continues to innovate. Each chapter will be devoted to a single material and will consider environmental impacts holistically, looking at health and biodiversity impacts, among other issues. Featuring: Chapters written by subject experts, including: Duncan Baker-Brown, Carol Costello, Graham Coult, Barbara Jones, Rowland Keable, Bruce Martin, Michael Stacey and Oliver Wilton. Mainstream and burgeoning materials, including: aluminium, bamboo, brick, concrete, cork, hemp, mycelium, plastics, steel, stone and timber. Diagrams, graphics and illustrated exemplars.

Download or read book Sri Lanka written by International Monetary Fund. Asia and Pacific Dept and published by International Monetary Fund. This book was released on 2024-09-20 with total page 35 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The IMF South Asia Regional Training and Technical Assistance Center (SARTTAC) provided technical assistance (TA) to the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) focusing on modernizing monetary operations framework and improving liquidity monitoring. Macroeconomic crisis, compounded by the pandemic, has created significant challenges for conducting monetary policy in Sri Lanka. Considering this, the mission proposed a phased approach for modernizing monetary policy instruments and operations, contingent on progress in ongoing debt restructuring, reducing financial stability risks, achieving macroeconomic stabilization, and improving CBSL’s balance sheet. A transitory model for monetary operations was recommended, centered on one week liquidity operations, while still envisaging a certain level of market segmentation. Key recommendations included introducing a single policy rate to strengthen monetary policy signaling, modifying Statutory Reserve Ratio, and operationalizing Standing Facilities to form an Interest Rate Corridor (IRC). In the later stages, when the CBSL can target aggregate liquidity, liquidity management should return to a mid-corridor system with Open Market Operations (OMO)s calibrated based on liquidity forecasts. These recommendations are designed to enhance monetary policy transmission, support the achievement of CBSL’s primary mandate of price stability, a prerequisite for macroeconomic stability and sustainable economic growth.

Book John Lewis

Download or read book John Lewis written by David Greenberg and published by Simon and Schuster. This book was released on 2024-10-08 with total page 704 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A comprehensive, authoritative biography of Civil Rights icon John Lewis, “the conscience of the Congress,” drawing on interviews with Lewis and approximately 275 others who knew him at various stages of his life, as well as never-before-used FBI files and documents. Born into poverty in rural Alabama, Lewis would become second only to Martin Luther King, Jr. in his contributions to the Civil Rights Movement. He was a Freedom Rider who helped to integrate bus stations in the South, a leader of the Nashville sit-in movement, the youngest speaker at the 1963 March on Washington, and the chairman of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC), which he made into one of the major civil rights organizations. He may be best remembered as the victim of a vicious beating by Alabama state troopers at the foot of the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, Alabama, where he nearly died. Greenberg’s biography traces Lewis’s life through the post-Civil Rights years, when he headed the Voter Education Project, which enrolled millions of African American voters across the South. The book reveals the little-known story of his political ascent first locally in Atlanta, and then as a member of Congress. Tapped to be a part of the Democratic leadership in Congress, he earned respect on both sides of the aisle for the sacrifices he had made on behalf of nonviolent integration in the South and came to be known as the “conscience of the Congress.” Thoroughly researched and dramatically told, Greenberg’s biography captures John Lewis’s influential career through documents from dozens of archives, interviews with hundreds of people who knew Lewis, and long-lost footage of Lewis himself speaking to reporters from his hospital bed following his severe beating on “Bloody Sunday” in Selma. With new details about his personal and professional relationships, John Lewis: A Life is the definitive biography of a man whose heroism during the Civil Rights movement helped to bring America a new birth of freedom.

Book Responses to 7 October Universities

Download or read book Responses to 7 October Universities written by Rosa Freedman and published by Taylor & Francis. This book was released on 2024-05-29 with total page 129 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: One of three volumes responding to the 7 October attack, Universities focuses on the heartland of contemporary antisemitic thinking, which is scholarship; and its reflection in student discourse on campus. Contributions go back to Sartre and to debates of Marx’s time; another looks at the New Left forged in the civil rights movement, and shows how antisemitic responses to the 2023 violence were anticipated by some of the responses to the 1967 Arab League aggression. The feminist movement and ‘progressives’ more generally come under scrutiny, and there is analysis of antisemitism on campus after 7 October, showing how it is tolerated and protected there; including in archaeological attempts to deny that there is an ancient Jewish history in Israel. This work will appeal to scholars, students and activists with an interest in antisemitism, Jewish studies and the politics of Israel.

Book Conspiracy Theories in Contemporary Italy

Download or read book Conspiracy Theories in Contemporary Italy written by Gianmarco Navarini and published by Taylor & Francis. This book was released on 2024-11-25 with total page 206 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume explores the role played by conspiracy narratives in the contemporary Italian political, cultural, and social context, through a series of case studies. It begins with a historical and genealogical account of the troubled success of Italian conspiracy thinking from the early 1970s to the present day. Among the issues examined are the unclear division between legitimate/illegitimate forms of knowledge, the use of conspiracy as a confrontational discursive device, the emergence of moral panic, and the stabilization of information outlets against dominant official explanations. The analysis covers the case of a well-known national survey, and a digital platform specializing in conspiracy storytelling. The second axis of the book concerns the pervasive use of conspiracy as a theory or narrative that currently circulates in various Italian cultural fields: multiculturalism, immigration, and racism; Catholic traditionalism; football fandom; small business economics; and cooking and food. This volume will be of interest to researchers of conspiracy theories, and Italian politics and history.

Book SYMMETRIC KEY CRYPTOGRAPHY WITH PYTHON AND TKINTER

Download or read book SYMMETRIC KEY CRYPTOGRAPHY WITH PYTHON AND TKINTER written by Vivian Siahaan and published by BALIGE PUBLISHING. This book was released on 2024-08-24 with total page 470 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the evolving landscape of data security, encryption algorithms play a crucial role in safeguarding sensitive information. This book delves into several prominent encryption algorithms, including AES, DES, 3DES, Blowfish, and CAST. Each algorithm offers unique strengths and is suitable for different use cases. Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) stands out for its robust security and efficiency, making it a preferred choice for many modern applications. Data Encryption Standard (DES), while historically significant, has largely been replaced by Triple DES (3DES), which enhances DES's security by applying it multiple times. Blowfish, a versatile and fast cipher, and CAST, known for its flexibility in key lengths, are also explored for their practical applications in various security scenarios. To provide a hands-on approach, this book includes detailed Python examples and Tkinter-based graphical user interfaces for each encryption algorithm. These practical examples illustrate how to implement these ciphers in real-world applications, from basic encryption and decryption processes to more complex use cases involving secure data handling and user interaction. Through these examples, readers will gain a comprehensive understanding of both the theoretical and practical aspects of encryption, empowering them to implement secure solutions tailored to their specific needs. In chapter two, we discussed the development of a Tkinter-based GUI application for AES encryption and decryption of synthetic data. The application consists of multiple tabs: one for displaying original data, one for showing encrypted data, another for decrypted data, and a fourth for entering and managing passwords. Key functionalities include generating a synthetic dataset with various attributes like UserID, Name, and Email, encrypting and decrypting this data using AES encryption in GCM mode, and displaying the results in a ttk.Treeview. The application also features password management, allowing users to set a password, generate an encryption key from it, and update the displays accordingly. The code includes several methods for data encryption and decryption, key derivation, and DataFrame management. The generate_data_intelligence_dataset method creates synthetic data, while encrypt_data and decrypt_data methods handle AES encryption and decryption. The update_displays method updates the DataFrame with encrypted and decrypted data and saves these to Excel files. The display_dataframe method dynamically displays DataFrames in the Tkinter GUI, with alternating row colors for better readability. This session detailed how each part of the code contributes to creating a rich and interactive application for handling encrypted data. In chapter three, we explored a detailed Tkinter application designed for managing and visualizing Bitcoin transaction data. The application generates synthetic data including wallet addresses, transaction types, dates, Bitcoin amounts, and their USD equivalents. Users enter an 8-byte DES key to encrypt Bitcoin amounts using DES encryption. The encrypted data is displayed in a tab within the Tkinter GUI, and users can view a histogram showing the distribution of Bitcoin amounts, both before and after encryption. The application leverages various Python libraries: tkinter for the GUI, pandas for data manipulation, Crypto.Cipher.DES for encryption, and matplotlib for plotting. Key functions include generating synthetic Bitcoin data, encrypting data with DES, and visualizing data distributions. The GUI is structured with tabs for entering the password, viewing original and encrypted data, and displaying distribution graphs. The session detailed how each function works, from generating Bitcoin addresses and transaction data to encrypting and decrypting data and plotting results. In chapter four, we discussed a Python code that integrates a Tkinter GUI with Triple DES (3DES) encryption and SQLite database management. The code encompasses the setup of an SQLite database, encryption and decryption of transaction data using 3DES, and functions for saving and retrieving encrypted transaction records. Key functions include generating a 3DES key, encrypting and decrypting data with appropriate padding, and handling database operations with retry logic to manage potential locking issues. We explored the database setup with table creation, and transaction management, and incorporated robust error handling to ensure reliable operation. The GUI implementation leverages Tkinter for user interaction and display, including functions to generate 3DES keys, handle encryption/decryption operations, and manage transaction records in an SQLite database. The session covered detailed explanations of how each part of the code operates, from database setup and key generation to data encryption/decryption and transaction storage. This comprehensive approach ensures secure handling of sensitive data and integrates encryption functionalities within a user-friendly interface, demonstrating practical applications of cryptographic techniques in a real-world scenario. In chapter five, we detailed a Python script using Tkinter for a secure cloud storage application leveraging Blowfish encryption. The script includes several core functionalities: user authentication, file upload and download, and cryptographic operations. Key aspects include helper functions for generating and verifying HMACs, as well as Blowfish encryption and decryption. The GUI is organized into tabs for user login/register, file upload, file download, and logs. Functions are defined to handle file selection, encryption, upload, HMAC generation, and downloading, ensuring that data integrity is maintained through HMAC verification and secure file handling. The Tkinter-based GUI is designed to provide a user-friendly interface for interacting with the secure cloud storage system. The SecureCloudStorageApp class initializes and configures the GUI with tabs for different functionalities. It manages user login, registration, file selection, and storage operations. The application supports encryption and decryption of files, storing encrypted data and HMACs, and provides feedback through a log and message boxes. This setup ensures secure data handling and user management, integrating cryptographic functions seamlessly into a functional application interface. In chapter six, we discussed and refined a Python script for managing file encryption and decryption using the CAST cipher, implemented with a Tkinter graphical user interface (GUI). The script includes functions for generating encryption keys, encrypting and decrypting files, and handling file uploads and downloads. It also features user authentication and registration mechanisms, utilizing bcrypt for password hashing and checking. The GUI allows users to perform these actions through a series of buttons and input fields, with status updates and error messages displayed in a scrollable text area. We further improved the script by adding error handling for file operations and ensuring proper file path management. Enhancements included better user feedback through message boxes for errors related to file reading, JSON decoding, and user actions. These improvements aimed to make the application more robust and user-friendly, ensuring reliable file management and secure encryption practices. The final version also addressed exceptions and edge cases to enhance the overall reliability and functionality of the Tkinter-based application.

Book This Time No Mistakes

Download or read book This Time No Mistakes written by Will Hutton and published by Bloomsbury Publishing. This book was released on 2024-04-11 with total page 466 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Every thinking person knows that a great change is needed in our country. Will Hutton's passionate book shows how the right and left have gone wrong over the course of the last century – and how we can remake a better Britain. Britain's inability to invest in itself is at the heart of our problems. The malevolent thread linking the grievous errors of the last forty-five years is the attempt to create the utopia of free markets and a minimal state. The terrible consequences scar our country today. We need an alternative economic and political philosophy, especially if we are to ward off a nihilist populism. Two great traditions – ethical socialism and progressive liberalism – can be brought together to offer a different way forward. Hutton describes the views of their major thinkers, and their common vision of what he calls the 'We Society' – combining the 'We' and the 'I'. The two strands of thought both believe in the duty to treat people fairly in a capitalist system that, without guiderails, spirals into inequality, monopoly and exploitation. Out of this shared worldview came the great reforming Liberal government of 1906–14, supported by Labour MPs who'd been elected in industrial areas with Liberal backing. This alliance, Hutton argues, was the great opportunity of modern British history. It was destroyed by the First World War. In 1945 a Labour government, informed by great Liberal intellectuals like Keynes and Beveridge, showed once again what can be achieved when the two progressive strands fuse. Since then, our deeply unfair electoral system has allowed Conservatives to dominate government and commit a long series of great, avoidable errors. The Labour Party, fatally divided between socialist purity and timid pragmatism, must rediscover the ingredients that made for the success of the great reforming governments of the twentieth century. This failure to uphold the 'We Society' has betrayed Britain. Capitalism must be repurposed to work for the common good. And our degraded democracy, the necessary means for such change, must be reformed. Hutton's proposals are inspiring and rooted in values held by the overwhelming majority of us. Above all, they are achievable.
