Book excerpt: The Christian Bible or so called New Testament depends to a great extent on the writings of the Jewish Bible. The problem here is that the New Testament writers misused the Hebrew Bible and made a dishonest use of Biblical Jewish texts to support its false teachings. This work exposes the manipulation, distortion, and falsifications of Jewish Biblical texts. Wherever Jewish Biblical Texts are used in the New Testament, they are intentionally manipulated to show something different than its original message was meant to be. This can be seen all the way along the Gospels and even more so in the writings of Paul. There are two Jesus figures. One that speaks like a Jew and one Jesus that speaks like a non-Jew. The New Testament is built on false salvation teachings with no Jewish Biblical support. The teachings are supported by Gnosticism, Mistery religions cults and some distorted judaism.

This book was released on 2022-11-03 with total page 37 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Luke 12:1, Jesus said: “Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.” In the same breath, I say to you: “Beware of the yeast of Paul’s Christianity which is lie and hypocrisy.” All I see today are the Christians of Paul, hardly the Christians of Jesus. Where is Jesus? He is there still buried beneath the 2,000 years of lies and hypocrisies of the Christianity of Paul. If the Jews crucified the living Jesus on the cross, the Christianity of Paul murdered the risen Christ right after his resurrection. Behold the “TEN GREATEST LIES & HYPOCRISIES” that up to now are wreaking havoc in our Christian world. Happy reading!

Download or read book In Truth written by Matthew Fraser and published by Rowman & Littlefield. This book was released on 2020-03-27 with total page 459 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: From ancient Rome to the current Internet age, this sweeping history of ideas explores how different epochs wrestled with the issue of truth and lies. From the ancient Greeks and Romans to the modern era, how have people determined what is true? How have those with power and influence sought to control the narrative? Are we living in a post-truth era, or is that notion simply the latest attempt to control the narrative? The relationship between truth and power is the key theme. Moving through major historical periods, the author focuses on notable people and events, from well-known leaders like Julius Caesar and Adolf Hitler to lesser-known individuals like Procopius and Savonarola. He notes distinct parallels in history to current events. Julius Caesar's publication of his Gallic Wars and Civil Wars was an early exercise in political spin not unlike what we see today. During the English Civil War and the Enlightenment, pamphleteering coupled with the new power of the printing press challenged the status quo, as online and social media does in our time. And "fake news" was already being used by German chancellor Otto von Bismarck in nineteenth-century Europe and by the "yellow journalism" of American newspaper magnates William Randolph Hearst and Joseph Pulitzer near the turn of the twentieth century. The author concludes optimistically, noting that we are debating and discussing truth more fiercely today than in any previous era. The determination to arrive at the truth, despite the manipulations of the powerful, bodes well for the future of democracy.

Book The Greatest Lie Ever Told

Download or read book The Greatest Lie Ever Told written by M Krishna and published by Lulu.com. This book was released on 2013-10-28 with total page 193 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is a Barrister's legalistic scrutiny of the Bible to court standards and his bold, no-nonsense verdict. It is a shocking exposure of institutional lies that have endangered peace, liberty and lives for nearly 2,000 years. Peddled as the Word of God on the back of a fictitious, tribal God these stupendous lies prevent intellectual maturity and limit a society's thinking to primitive legends. It enables the reader to see the corrosive force of mythical religions and their propensity to plunge the world into a succession of deadly confrontations - all driven by depravity and immoral, primitive tales that glorify violence and tear families apart. This book succinctly brings to light the corruptive influence of Christianity on politicians, which drives them to undertake military missions to undermine human rights and democratic freedom of those of other faiths to choose their own way of life and government.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A bold retelling of the history of lying in medieval and early modern Europe Is it ever acceptable to lie? This question plays a surprisingly important role in the story of Europe's transition from medieval to modern society. According to many historians, Europe became modern when Europeans began to lie—that is, when they began to argue that it is sometimes acceptable to lie. This popular account offers a clear trajectory of historical progression from a medieval world of faith, in which every lie is sinful, to a more worldly early modern society in which lying becomes a permissible strategy for self-defense and self-advancement. Unfortunately, this story is wrong. For medieval and early modern Christians, the problem of the lie was the problem of human existence itself. To ask "Is it ever acceptable to lie?" was to ask how we, as sinners, should live in a fallen world. As it turns out, the answer to that question depended on who did the asking. The Devil Wins uncovers the complicated history of lying from the early days of the Catholic Church to the Enlightenment, revealing the diversity of attitudes about lying by considering the question from the perspectives of five representative voices—the Devil, God, theologians, courtiers, and women. Examining works by Augustine, Bonaventure, Martin Luther, Madeleine de Scudéry, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, and a host of others, Dallas G. Denery II shows how the lie, long thought to be the source of worldly corruption, eventually became the very basis of social cohesion and peace.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Many Christians write off the Old Testament as an outdated rule book which has little to say to them and has been superseded by the New Testament and the Christian tradition.Lies, Sex and Politicians is for those thinking Christians who want to 'recapture' the Old Testament from those who, in wanting to promote it in a particular way (e.g. in the homosexuality debate), have closed it off to the majority.John Holdsworth offers a way into the Old Testament through linking some of the themes found in this very diverse collection of texts with themes found in contemporary culture. This in turn enables readers to engage with the Old Testament as a resource for doing Christian theology and ethics today. Each chapter concentrates on a text-based theme. This leads to exegetical input and discussion of the wider theme in the light of contemporary scholarship. The text is then approached from the direction of some element of contemporary culture or concern. A final suggested exercise aims to bring these elements together in a creative and interesting way.

Book Tithing Promoters Prosperity Teachers Big Lies

Download or read book Tithing Promoters Prosperity Teachers Big Lies written by Benny D. Prince and published by Strategic Book Publishing & Rights Agency. This book was released on 2014-07 with total page 231 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This insightful book exposes the lies, coercion, and fear tactics used by Christian churches to get people to tithe. To say that the curse of the tithing law even exists today is a lie. This teaching conflicts with the truth stated in Galatians 3:13. The teaching that tithing is required today to obtain blessings with the emphasis on material blessings has caused many to become less spiritual minded and more materialistic. But this teaching is also a lie and conflicts with Galatians 3:14. Tithing promoters spew out untruths against non-tithers to demonize them and silence any opposition to their false teachings. Today's false prosperity gospel has transformed the gospel of grace into the gospel of greed. Most disgraceful of all, the many lies that Christian leaders utilize to dupe the poorest and most vulnerable in society out of the little money they do have, causes many of the poorest to sink even deeper into debt. Time and time again, tithing promoters fail to line up with the word of God. One lie is that tithing demands ten percent of income, when in fact, the amount should be considerably less. What can we do to change this heresy? Encourage honesty within your own church, and urge people to turn away from lies and walk in the truth.

Book Truth Errors and Lies

Download or read book Truth Errors and Lies written by Grzegorz W. Kołodko and published by Columbia University Press. This book was released on 2012-09-04 with total page 474 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Grzegorz W. Kolodko, one of the world's leading authorities on economics and development policy and a key architect of Poland's successful economic reforms, applies his far-reaching knowledge to the past and future of the world economy, introducing a framework for understanding our global situation that transcends any single discipline or paradigm. Deploying a novel mix of scientific evaluation and personal observation, Kolodko begins with a brief discussion of misinformation and its perpetuation in economics and politics. He criticizes the simplification of complex economic and social issues and investigates the link between developments in the global economy and cultural change, scientific discoveries, and political fluctuations. Underscoring the necessity of conceptual and theoretical innovation in understanding our global economic situation, Kolodko offers a provocative study of globalization and the possibility of coming out ahead in an era of worldwide interdependence. Deeply critical of neoliberalism, which sought to transfer economic control exclusively to the private sector, Kolodko explores the virtues of social-economic development and the new rules of the economic game. He concludes with a look at our near and distant future, questioning whether we have a say in its making.

Book Lies from the Pit

Book excerpt: Who buys these lies? There is no God. If you do more good than bad, youll go to Heaven. When you die, you will be reincarnated. David and Jonathan were homosexuals. The pope is infallible. Jesus Christ was just a man. All religions are really the same. Heaven and Hell are only states of mind. Isaiah 53 refers to the Jewish people, not to Jesus Christ. There are many ways to God. The Lord Jesus Christ said of Satan, When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it (John 8:44). In this spiritually seductive and dangerous age, there is no dearth of the devils falsehoods. Which ones do you believe? It has been said that no lie can live forever, but lies from the pit of Hell will prevent you from living forever with the Lord Jesus Christ, who alone is the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6). Now more than ever, in this undiscerning time of tolerance, we must identify and condemn the devils counterfeits, regardless of who is offended. This compilation of religious and moral lies and their refutations will inform as well as offend both un-awakened sinners and soft-theology Christians, provoking them to seek the truth of Gods Word and the salvation that is only in His Sonfor outside of Gods Kingdom, writhing in eternal fire, will be whosoever loveth and maketh a lie (Revelation 22:15).

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Gathered here is a selection of the essays [of] the distinguished Hungarian born novelist Stephen Vizinczey. . . . Taken together they have a weight and amplitude of a very high order. . . . What is most impressive about these essays (apart from their range and erudition) is the way that literature and life are so subtly intertwined with each other. The passion for the one is the passion for the other. As it ought to be in criticism, but seldom is."—Mark Le Fanu, The Times (London) "If a critic's job is to puncture pomposity, deflate over-hyped reputations and ferret out true value, then Vizinczey is master of the art."—Publishers Weekly "Stephen Vizinczey comes on like a pistol-packing stranger here to root out corruption and remind us of our ideals. He carries the role off with inspired gusto. His boldness and pugnacity are bracing and can be very funny."—Ray Sawhill, Newsweek "Every piece in the book is good, and many are so good that, after dipping into the middle, I stayed up half of the night, reading with growing amazement and admiration."—Bruce Bebb, Los Angeles Reader

Book The Ten Biggest Lies in the Church Today

Download or read book The Ten Biggest Lies in the Church Today written by Jasun Glomore and published by Gatekeeper Press. This book was released on 2022-07-15 with total page 85 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Since the advent of Catholicism in the 4th century A.D., the true tenets of the early Christian church have undergone such an enormous facelift that the original and foundational creeds would be barely recognizable to those who established them in the middle of the first century. As more and more discordant denominations came onto the scene, and added and subtracted doctrines and ideas according to whatever agenda they were trying to serve, the truth of God's Word became less and less genuine to the point where it is now nothing more than a dreadful distortion of its intended shape. This book will uncover and examine the origins of ten of these ungodly corruptions listed below, and give you all the scripture you need to make an informed decision for yourself as to what is truth...and what is a lie! *THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH *THE RAPTURE *THE TRIBULATION *ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED *THE BOOK OF REVELATION *POSTMILLENNIALISM/AMILLENNIALISM *THE MEGACHURCHES *TONGUES *SUNDAY WORSHIP *FAMILY REUNIONS IN THE KINGDOM AGE
