This report gives the results of catches from 2 March to 1 April 1993 by type of fishery (seine and gillnet) and by area.Appendices provide information on gear and sample distribution by fishery and gillnet fishery packer lists.

In addition, laboratory samples were retained after each sample set for use as part of a database for the computer modelling system used to estimate the escapement and predict the available surplus for the 1988/1989 Pacific herring fishery. Field data, including hydroacoustic stock estimates and onboard field analysis data are presented.
