Their son John B. Speed (1714-1779) married Mrs. Mary Minetry Taylor in Surry Co., VA. in 1737. They were the parents of eleven children. They owned land in Mecklenburg Co., VA at the time of their death. Eleven generations of descendants are given. Family members lived in Virginia, Kentucky, New York, North Carolina and elsewhere.
