Not only is the present volume an update on the families covered in volume 1 of Familie Allwein, it goes beyond the early land, tax and estate records, to include information from marriage and birth records, military records, census records, death records, county atlases and local histories. As in the first volume of this series, the author’s careful documentation of all sources and attention to detail make it possible to reproduce his findings and re-examine his conclusions.
