The papers’ topics revolve around Informatics Technology, Electrical Technology, Marine Technology, Manufacturing System and Technology, Mechanical Engineering, And also Information Industry and Management. In addition to the technical paper presentations, there were also five keynote speeches featured, and eight plenary talks were delivered. Two of the keynote speeches were delivered in person by Professor Selo from Universitas Gajah Mada, Indonesia, and Professor Goib Wiranto from the National Research and Innovation Agency, Indonesia. The rest of the keynote speeches were delivered online by Professor Yvon Kermarrec from IMT Atlantique, France; Professor Ian Gibson from University of Twente, Netherlands; and Dr. Ilham Akbar Habibie from The Association of Indonesian Engineer, Indonesia. It was a great pleasure to work with the technical program committee led by Mr. Hilfi Pardi, who have completed the imperative process of peer-review on the technical papers submitted in this conference. We are also very fortunate to have on our side the excellent organizing committee team of the Faculty of Engineering of UMRAH who work very hard to organize and support the conference. Finally, our appreciation to all the authors who have participated in this conference with their amazing achievements and enthusiasm. We firmly believe that ICSEDTI is a suitable platform for researchers, engineers, and developers who are concerned with sustainability in engineering and technological development. We hope in the coming years ICSEDTI will be better in terms of the organization of the conference, the quantity and the quality of the researches submitted, and most importantly the impact on the sustainability of technological innovation.
Download or read book Computational Gasdynamics written by Culbert B. Laney and published by Cambridge University Press. This book was released on 1998-06-13 with total page 631 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Numerical methods are indispensable tools in the analysis of complex fluid flows. This book focuses on computational techniques for high-speed gas flows, especially gas flows containing shocks and other steep gradients. The book decomposes complicated numerical methods into simple modular parts, showing how each part fits and how each method relates to or differs from others. The text begins with a review of gasdynamics and computational techniques. Next come basic principles of computational gasdynamics. The last two parts cover basic techniques and advanced techniques. Senior and graduate level students, especially in aerospace engineering, as well as researchers and practising engineers, will find a wealth of invaluable information on high-speed gas flows in this text.

Download or read book Generalized Riemann Problems in Computational Fluid Dynamics written by Matania Ben-Artzi and published by Cambridge University Press. This book was released on 2003-04-10 with total page 366 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Numerical simulation of compressible, inviscid time-dependent flow is a major branch of computational fluid dynamics. Its primary goal is to obtain accurate representation of the time evolution of complex flow patterns, involving interactions of shocks, interfaces, and rarefaction waves. The Generalized Riemann Problem (GRP) algorithm, developed by the authors for this purpose, provides a unifying 'shell' which comprises some of the most commonly used numerical schemes of this process. This monograph gives a systematic presentation of the GRP methodology, starting from the underlying mathematical principles, through basic scheme analysis and scheme extensions (such as reacting flow or two-dimensional flows involving moving or stationary boundaries). An array of instructive examples illustrates the range of applications, extending from (simple) scalar equations to computational fluid dynamics. Background material from mathematical analysis and fluid dynamics is provided, making the book accessible to both researchers and graduate students of applied mathematics, science and engineering.

Download or read book Vortex Dynamics and Vortex Methods written by Christopher Radcliff Anderson and published by American Mathematical Soc.. This book was released on 1991-12-23 with total page 776 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Understanding vortex dynamics is the key to understanding much of fluid dynamics. For this reason, many researchers, using a great variety of different approaches--analytical, computational, and experimental--have studied the dynamics of vorticity. The AMS-SIAM Summer Seminar on Vortex Dynamics and Vortex Methods, held in June 1990 at the University of Washington in Seattle, brought together experts with a broad range of viewpoints and areas of specialization. This volume contains the proceedings from that seminar. The focus here is on the numerical computation of high Reynolds number incompressible flows. Also included is a smaller selection of important experimental results and analytic treatments. Many of the articles contain valuable introductory and survey material as well as open problems. Readers will appreciate this volume for its coverage of a wide variety of numerical, analytical, and experimental tools and for its treatment of interesting important discoveries made with these tools.
Download or read book Computation of Viscous Incompressible Flows written by Dochan Kwak and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2010-12-14 with total page 294 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This monograph is intended as a concise and self-contained guide to practitioners and graduate students for applying approaches in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to real-world problems that require a quantification of viscous incompressible flows. In various projects related to NASA missions, the authors have gained CFD expertise over many years by developing and utilizing tools especially related to viscous incompressible flows. They are looking at CFD from an engineering perspective, which is especially useful when working on real-world applications. From that point of view, CFD requires two major elements, namely methods/algorithm and engineering/physical modeling. As for the methods, CFD research has been performed with great successes. In terms of modeling/simulation, mission applications require a deeper understanding of CFD and flow physics, which has only been debated in technical conferences and to a limited scope. This monograph fills the gap by offering in-depth examples for students and engineers to get useful information on CFD for their activities. The procedural details are given with respect to particular tasks from the authors’ field of research, for example simulations of liquid propellant rocket engine subsystems, turbo-pumps and the blood circulations in the human brain as well as the design of artificial heart devices. However, those examples serve as illustrations of computational and physical challenges relevant to many other fields. Unlike other books on incompressible flow simulations, no abstract mathematics are used in this book. Assuming some basic CFD knowledge, readers can easily transfer the insights gained from specific CFD applications in engineering to their area of interest.
